2.   Start with the basics.  Let’s talk a little about your business.

              For the same reasons that “one size sock doesn’t fit everybody's feet”, your WebBusiness should be uniquely tailored to match your traditional business.  The following questions should bring the two together at least on a conceptual basis.  Then the specifics of implementation can be precisely tailored in order to provide you with the best chances for success.  This may be especially true when your WebBusiness connects with Facebook.

          While everybody in the WebDesign business brags about their custom designs, I am not talking about flashy websites with lots of bell and whistles.  I would like for you to think about how to make your WebBusiness fit your existing traditional business and to achieve your specific business short term and long term goals and objectives.

                       a.    Are you interested in quality or quantity sales?

                             b.   Are your customers more interested in quality merchandise or discount prices?

                             c.    Do you maintain a large inventory or a small inventory as measured by the number
                           of products, not dollar value?


                             d.   Does your customer core generate:

                                                                         i.    Infrequent Big Ticket Sales

                                                               ii.    Infrequent Small Sales

                                                              iii.    Frequent Repeat Sales of the same items

                                                              iv.    Frequent Sales of Related Items

                                                                v.    Initial Big Purchase with repeat purchases of small items (Razor and Blades)

                                                              vi.    More than one of the above
